The Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail is a 296 km repurposed stretch of the former Canadian Pacific rail bed that runs from Smiths Falls to Mattawa. As luck would have it, it passes through Braeside (where it is called the Algonquin Trail) right at the bottom of Pat and Jim's street.
It is a beautiful spot for an early morning walk.
